Zac Reinke

Principal

Zac commenced working in the legal industry in 2013. In 2018 he was admitted, in 2023 he joined a boutique Brisbane firm leading their Criminal and Regulatory Team, and in 2026 he founded Reinke Lawyers.

Zac is not a "jack of all trades". He knows what he is good at and he focuses on being the absolute best at it.

His criminal law experience covers the full spectrum of those matters and has ranged from drink driving offences, to serious financial crimes, murder, and international drug trafficking. He has a particular interest in regulatory prosecutions, and “white collar crime”.

Zac has also successfully represented clients before Royal Commissions (notably, the “Trade Union Royal Commission”) and before the Crime and Corruption Commission.

Zac is recognised for his experience in assisting clients with regulatory investigations and prosecutions. Some examples of this work include:

  • Assisting companies in relation to Work Health and Safety investigations and prosecutions;

  • Assisting several companies (and their directors) in relation to compliance action by Labour Hire Licensing, the Office of Industrial Relations, and the Australian Border Force;  and

  • Assisting individuals in relation to disciplinary action for allegations of professional misconduct (including health care professionals, accountants, and legal practitioners).

Zac also utilises his regulatory experience to consult with small business owners to help them identify and fix hidden legal and compliance risks so they can operate and grow without nasty surprises.

Since 2024, Zac has been a member of the Queensland Law Society's Occupational Discipline Committee. He is also a sessional academic at Griffith University.

He is featured in Doyle's Guide, and has been nominated by Best Lawyers in their "One's to Watch" category.
